The organization realized that the most effective help creates self-sufficiency and opportunities. The mission has since been significantly broadened to include six fundamental pillars aimed at supporting the neediest Gambians:
1.
Sustaining, Creating, and Managing Schools and Educational Institutions: This includes creating dignified jobs and professional training projects for the future of young people.
2.
Supporting Women: Promoting their professional skills and creating economic opportunities to strengthen their independence and role in the community.
3.
Public Health: Supporting medical assistance and creating social assistance institutions in The Gambia, including the procurement and transport of essential relief supplies and medical materials.
4.
Development Cooperation: Implementing concrete aid and development projects to improve living conditions, providing financial and material support, and running educational and health projects.
5.
Animal Welfare: Measures for the protection of animals and the reduction of their suffering (e.g., through shelters, mobile clinics, and sterilization programs).
6.
Fighting the Causes of Emigration: All activities aim to offer local perspectives and provide assistance for self-help, contributing to the prevention of irregular immigration.
6 Ways To Help HHA
Adesione (Membership)
1. Join as a Member: If you are not yet a member (socio), you can join the association to strengthen their voice. This is important whether you are a sympathizing member or a new supporter
Donazione (Donation)
2. Provide Financial Contributions: Every financial contribution is used directly for the projects on the ground. 3. Provide Material Contributions: Donations can also be material, with every contribution going directly for the projects on the ground.
Volontariato (Volunteering)
4. Volunteer in The Gambia: You can offer your skills to support their operations directly in The Gambia. 5. Volunteer in Germany: You can offer your skills to support the strategic association operations in Germany, where the association is registered as Helping Hands Academy E.V. 6. Volunteer in Italy: You can offer your skills in Italy, in anticipation of the association's registration there, which will complete their international network.

At Helping Hands Academy (HHA), we sponsor underprivileged kids to access quality education, providing books, tuition, and mentorship. Since 2018, we've helped over 27 children graduate and build brighter futures. Meet Mary: At 10 years old, Mary couldn't afford school supplies. 📢 JOB VACANCY – Secretary (The Gambia) Helping Hands Academy Helping Hands Academy, an international educational initiative focused on youth development and community empowerment, is seeking a highly organized and reliable Secretary to support -our operations in The Gambia. -Position: Secretary -Location: The Gambia (Kairaba Avenue 56) -Start Date: Immediate -Organization: Helping Hands Academy -Working Days: Monday to Friday (5 days a week) 🔹 Responsibilities .Manage student registrations and academic records .Maintain attendance sheets and administrative files .Communicate with students, parents, and teachers .Coordinate daily activities with the Country Manager and Director .Handle payments, receipts, and documentation .Organize schedules, classrooms, and materials .Prepare official letters, reports, and communication .Support teachers with administrative tasks .Maintain a clean and efficient office environment .Submit a weekly report to the main office in Germany .Follow up and report on ongoing Helping Hands Academy projects. .
